I loved the light streams this particular ride made when the shutter was open for ten seconds. It's one of those rides with a ship at the end of a pendulum. Personally, we just find that early morning is the best time to see parks - for both photographic and enjoyment reasons. On Tuesday of our vacation week, we got up early - watched sunrise and did some hiking at Hurricane Ridge, hiked the Marymere Falls Trail and hiked the Sol Duc Falls Trail. We made really good time on all three hikes, but by the time we got to Sol Duc, the sun was high in the sky. I couldn't get any good exposures on the falls. The water was completely in direct sun. I was fairly disappointed because Sol Duc Falls was a spot I didn't want to miss photographing. Fortunately, a rainbow saved the day. Even though I didn't get a spectacular long exposure on the falls, I was pretty happy with this shot. It was tough to get because Sol Duc is a very crowded place.
